Professor Kevin Cheah qualified from Sheffield University Medical School in 1984 and was admitted into the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1988. His Orthopaedic training was at the Oswestry/Stoke rotation and he was awarded the Lloyd Griffiths Medal during his residency.
Professor Cheah was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Mid-Essex NHS Trust in 1996 and subsequently into full-time Private Practice in 2002. He was involved in the establishment of the Medical Engineering Research Group of Anglia Ruskin University and was awarded the Master of Science (honorary) in 2002 and a visiting Professorship in 2006. He is a co-founder of the Post-Graduate Medical Institute which led to the establishment of the School of Medicine at Anglia Ruskin University in 2018.
