Mr Bhagat provides care for a full range of Spinal conditions including degenerative disorders, trauma, tumours, infections, Spinal deformities and sports related injuries.
Mr Bhagat obtained FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. He underwent extensive training in Spinal surgery during fellowships at reputed centres including Norwich, Cardiff and Cambridge. He was awarded a Euro-spine diploma in 2012 which is a prestigious qualification in the field of Spine surgery offered to a selected few candidates by European Spine Society. This involves training through hands on courses, lectures, seminars, and combined operating in some of the most prestigious Spine surgery centres in Europe like Geneva, Lille, Barcelona, Budapest and Mainz-Germany.
Mr Bhagat deals with cases of refractory back and radicular arm/leg pain as well as complex cases which are referred from the Suffolk and the Essex. He also receives referrals from various parts of UK and abroad. He co-ordinates the overall care with our team of highly specialised anaesthetist, musculoskeletal radiologist, pain specialist, Cancer specialist, neurophysiologist, physiotherapist, rheumatologist and other allied healthcare professionals.
Mr Bhagat has extensively published in International journals such as European Spine Journal on various topics such as adult spinal deformity, neuro-monitoring in spinal surgery and a number of other topics in Spinal surgery as well as Orthopaedic surgery. He is a faculty on various Spine surgery related courses and loves teaching and training medical students, Orthopaedic registrars and para-medical staff.
